How?

Howdy:

Since we've been having some unseasonably mild temps, I was out yesterday supervising my son clean out gutters. While he was doing that, I putzed around with the Beast (WC 53). I'm not into a radical resto like others, but maybe someday (if I ever work up the courage to take back my garage from the Mrs).

The Beast sits outside, uncovered, and basically sits all winter, although I do occasionally drive around the back yard when we get a lot of snow. I don't want any road salt on it.

Anywho, I was taking off some parts to paint. I took off the light guards and was going to also remove the grille guard when I noticed the bolts on the inside top. Is there an easy way to remove them, or do ya have to take off the body cowl over the radiator? Also, to take the cowl off, do ya have to take off the hood? Any hints or pointers from them that's already done it?

TIA
Ugg
