Accurate placement of Taillights?

On a '48 B-1, Taillights seem to be mounted many ways. I've seen how the tailights are mounted to the bottom of the bed rail with a some sort of mounting bracket; directly bolted to the stake pocket; with seperate taillights and turn signal lights; and a muriad of other ways.

Does anyone know the factory correct way of mounting the tail/signal lights to the rear of the truck? Measured location.

How about which shape bracket, and how the license plate mounts?

Pictures?

Any likely sources for getting the mounting brackets besides VPW ($25 each)?
