You mention hanging pedals, I assume you also have disk brakes. My reply below is based on 4 wheel disk brakes;

When I put Vaccum Boosted Power Brakes on the Bumblebee, I used a 1976 Chev C-30 Master Cylinder with a 1.250" bore. I had good brakes, but a seriously low pedal. My NAPA Store found a Master Cylinder with a 1.3125" Bore. This gave me 15-20% more reserve and a normal high pedal. This MC has exactly the same mounting as the 1.250" bore MC. I am also using this 1.3125" bore MC on my Carryall with a Hydroboost booster. It has the same high pedal and great brakes as the Bumblebee with a vacuum booster.
