Bad fuel pump or plugged fuel line ?? Engine quits when it burns fuel out of carb bowl. Then when you crank it, finally it fills the fuel bowl and it starts. Fuel pump quits or line is plugged letting only a little fuel by, it burns out fuel in carb and the cycle starts over.

Just a thought.
