..liners are only ribbed if your bed is ribbed. The friction decreases with age and UV damage is the one real enemy after 4 years or so. Rhino makes a clear coat coating that wipes on and will restore the UV damage. Every plastic/rubber/plywood/conveyor belt etc. liner I have used in the past 30 years has ruined the bed after a few years or so. I will use only spray in liners in the future.
