I've had the mechanical pumps work apart on me driving so I have gone to electrical and they seem to work fine. NAPA has a solid state pump for about $30 (5/16 or 3/8 hose). I have been using one for several years now. Install an oil pressure switch when using an electrical pump as a safety item. The PIF has the instructions and part numbers
