Just don't get your right thumb caught between the spinning alternator fan and the alternator bracket on a Pontiac V8. That would really be a dumb thing to do, I know from experience. You'll get some rest though, the post-op pain meds will make you do nothing but sleep! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
