I know that you guys are all busy with your families and that probably no one will read this post but I am going to tell you the story anyway.
I had gone through a divorce that I did not want but it happened anyway and the process took over three years. I am one of those guys that you only get married once and I put my heart and sole into my family.
I have three sweet daughters who are doing well dispite the situation.
As with a twist of fate, I was reunited with my high school sweetheart who went through a similar situation. I had met Kathy when she was in seventh grade and not even 13 years old yet. We walked each other home from school every day. She was my best friend. When we old enough, we dated all through high school. We dated every Saterday night, went to every football game, and spent every summer together at the beach.
I broke up with her two weeks before graduation because I was an immiture 19 year old idiot that didn't know a good thing when he had it. She went off to college, as she should have. She met a guy in college and in true Kathy fashion, she called me so that I would hear it from her first. I was devistated because somewhere in the back of my mind I thought we would eventually get reunited (well, I guess we did, the time line was just different than I had expected.
To make a long story short, she is still the same sweet uncomplicated girl she was when we were young. She gets along well with my daughters and loves to ride in my old trucks
I am on my own tonight but I will see her tomarrow. I am going to ask her what I should have asked her 32 years ago. I hope she says yes and she likes the ring. Robert
