I'll add my 2 cents worth here. My '49 Power Wagon has a Lock Rite in the rear differential, and I have not experienced any adverse driving even here in snow bound Wyoming. I just sold a Scout II with PowerTrax No Spin lockers in front and rear differentials, and it had some steering issues because of the front locker, but it was very nice to drive in wet, icy, snowy conditions. My rock crawler Scout 80/800/II has Lock Rites in both front and rear differentials, and it also is good driving in all weather conditions. This Scout has twin stick controls for the transfer case so the front differential can be put into neutral to make turns.

Another place to look is Daniel Tibus's (www.killeraxles.com if I remember right) selectable locker that he designed and produced one or two prototypes for the M-37. Brad Zelinski had the M-37 with Tibus's selectable locker, and that machine was really nice on the trails. I don't know if Tibus is even in the 4X4 business anymore, but he had a shop in Ogden, Utah.
