Yeah, you're right, that must be a screw-up on their spec page, everything I have read and seen indicates the 2500 and 3500 have solid front axles. My 3500 has solid front axles also, I thought only the 1500 has independent, they do call the 2500 and 3500 suspension, "independent coil springs" in the 2005 brochure that I have, but the axle is a live, solid axle.
Guess I'm going down to the dealership and crawl under there!
