If you are driving in snow and/or ice, you will want a tire that is tall and narrow. The trend for most tire manufacturers is to get the tires wider as they get taller. They are great for the beaches and sand dunes and parking lots of Calif. and Arizona, or any where else as long as it's dry, but they stink in snow and ice. I like tall tires and it's difficult to get tall and narrow. The old Buckshots were tall and about 8" wide, now they are making them about 12" wide. Marty recently advised me on some 245 70R 19.5 tires and wheels for my '06 Ram and they are great in Idaho's snow and ice. Not as tall as I would like, but they are perfect for the width. Siping is mandatory, and a fair amount of weight in the back will help, too.
