It must be all removed, spotless clean. Cosmolean has no lube properties, its a perserative only. I use Diesel Fuel, let it soak for a while, then work on it with a stiff degrease brush and a puttk knife in areas where it wont hurt anything. It takes a while but will come off. Use CAUTION with GAS. A Static spark while cleaning would ruin your Christmas.
