This is a serious issue for ferd as the F Series owners have been the most loyal of all ferd owners and the profit margin, until now, was ferds best. I owned Dodge trucks for 22 years until I fell for the "Quality is Job One" ford line, my 7.3 was a disaster, not just the three motors and two transmissions, cooling system, electrical system, etc. but the fit, finish, trim was all poor and the paint fell of in the first two weeks! Ford always made the repairs for free and also repainted the truck, but it was a pain in the butt to repeatedly have the truck in for service and the downtime to my business was very costly. Then when the warrantee was over, my repair costs were approx. $500 per month! Nearly as much as a new payment. I nearly cried the day I drove my new Cummins powered Ram home, tears of joy to finally be out of that ford!
