When I disconected the trailer brakes I forgot to hook up the air return line to the manifold. I took off down the mountain and it wasn't till I got to the steep part of the hill did I notice man I am loosing air fast! Each time I put the brakes on that line was just blowing out air out of my rear tank. The spring brakes just about went on. I was lucky I had Jake Brakes and Brake Saver to slow it down so I did not have to use them anymore. Got to town and pulled into a shop and blocked off the open hose. Found out later that was why my brake lights quit working when it was inspected later. I was given the wrong information on removing the trailer brake control at the rear of the truck. The black and grey air lines had to be spliced together for the system to work right. I was using the red(trailer)brake line to control a air valve for the pump that is why I removed the whole valve off the back. Mark H.
