I grew up in Kings Beach, My Brother in law owned Sierra Tow Service ( in Kings Beach, Truckee, and Homewood ) from 1971-1980 we had a fleet of 1970-71 W300s a D300 and a W500 plus a 4x4 Autocar, Ford 9000, and a 1600 4x4 Cornbinder. (All our rigs had Holmes Wreckers) He relocated to Placerville in 1980 and started Hangtown Tow Service (Placerville and Folsom )I then joined him there with a 1971 W300 wrecker I owned in 1982 and worked a few years there before moving to Colfax untill I left for Idaho in 1991. Been in Idaho ever since..I still have the Original 1971 D-300 w/ holmes wrecker from Tahoe.
