I put 200k hauling horses and hay on one of those 6.5 Detroits with only a couple of pump replacements. Yep, you're right when you say it was just a little underpowered, but it lasted. I now have a Duramax and it is really a great engine--QUIET -- and alot of power to pull with.
Seems that most Cummins drivers here in Texas think that the mufflers have to be removed to get the power and milage out of them. I personally like the Cummins-- just too heavy and the new Dodge trucks just ain't my cup of tea. Before you crucify me Norm, I have PW's and a 47 COE
