it that you have to treat it like a small block V-8. It will not live long being used like a 5.9 CUmmins, 7.3 International, or the like. I had one in a 1990 Suburban. I replaced the heads at about 350,000 miles as it was pressurizing the cooling system. Swapped in a non-EGR military intake, and I was good to go. Hauled that 6000 pound pig around filled with wife, kids, stuff and giant hound and got a reliable 18 MPG. Then the transfer case went out for the 3rd time and I sold it. Used in light applications, the 6.2 will last forever. The turbo 6.5, however, makes too much power for it's design and dies at about 100,000 miles, IMHO!!
