question about dwell and timing

Changing the dwell will change the spark timing. However, changing the timing does not change the dwell. So you should not change the dwell without subsequently resetting the timing. But the reverse is ok.

Actually, I didn't think that setting on the dwell was especially sensitive. Afterall, this is often just set with a feeler gauge. Of course it is was way off, then it would not run right. But even the specs on dwell usually allow a few degrees either side of the preferred setting.
