My Carryall (WC-53) has a Cummins 4BTA Diesel driving a NV-4500, 5 speed/Overdrive tranny into a married NP-205 T case, 4.89's, AGR Performance Saginaw Power Steering, Hydroboost powering 4 wheel disk brakes. The Carryall loafs along at 60 mph at 1950 RPM, higher speeds are no problem. Off road,
I have 'power to sell' with a great crawl. Average MPG on my 3411 mile trip was 25.9115

My M-37, under construction is also powered by a Cummins 4BTA diesel, driving into a NV-4500 married to a NP-205 and truning 4.89 ring and pinions. It will also have AGR performance Saginaw Power Steering, 4 wheel hydroboost disk brakes, Jacobs Exhaust Brake etc.

The Cummins Diesel conversion for on road use will require a 5 or 6 speed OD tranny, 4.89's, Power Brakes and Steering, and lots of fabrication. If your able to do everything yourself, lots of money can be saved. You need to budget at least $8000.00 for the conversion. If you have to have fab work done for you and hire other help, the $$$ keep adding up.

Doug, I would be happy to set up a phone call and discuss all the options, bumps and pitfalls. The rewards of the diesel conversion are well worth the effort.

Paul
