I have a newer VT Castings, with a Platinum catalyst that reburns the exhaust. It burns so clean and efficiently that it produces lower emissions than a gas furnace. Expensive, but worth it if you like to burn a lot of wood. And, the enviro-freaks can say nothing about it: its cleaner than whatever they're burning for fuel.
