The evil in chocolate pudding....

A note for those who have placed orders for new subscriptions with back issue packages.... First of all, a great thank you. Secondly, there has been a delay in shipment due to a personal medical situation. Your envelopes, should you have ordered in the last several weeks, are lying here beside me, unopened, in a big stack.

On November 16, I had my tonsils out, my uvula removed, along with a repair of a deviated septum and something called SMR; submucosal resection of the nasal turbinates. Let’s just say I greatly underestimated the difficulty of the throat part; the nose part was really easy, and I am being serious.

Up until this morning I have lived on [narcotic bearing elixirs and] Jello brand pudding treats. I did not mind losing the 12 or so pounds, but I would choose a different way.

The matter was complicated by the fact that upon return home from surgery the next day, I discovered that the tonsil site was bleeding profusely from two places and I had to get hauled back into town, put under general anesthesia again, and the sites were cauterized again. A thing to be avoided I would say, but not my luck just then.

I am not whining, rather I am sharing this so that you can know, if you frequent this forum and have placed an order recently, that your materials have not been shipped for these reasons. The surgery was scheduled so as to not interfere with the last issue, and it won’t interfere with the next.

Continue your holiday revelry, and don’t get any more of it on your shirt.

I vote for the vanilla pudding, but the tapioca is pretty good, and the chocolate vanilla mix is very possibly sinful.... But I had such a great excuse.

I will get your materials in the mail as soon as possible, and thank you for your patience.
