The Warns as used on the PW's, do not have a coil spring. The outter (Bronze Dial), engages the (Inner Clutch) which has a course thread on the outside of the body. This threaded area, when turned by the Bronze Dial, moves the Outter Clutch which engage/disengage the Roller Pins in the Main Clutch Housing. We sure agree on stiff grease on cold weather. I have seen guys up here using Slip Joint Pliers to turn their hubs, and its so easy to fix that problem.
