No need to be jealous but if anyone builds a shop in cold climate, they should seriously consider putting the tubing in the slab when they build.

1000' of 1/2" Kitec tubing only costs about 350$CAN, so it's a little investment that opens-up a whole lot of possibilities down the road.

I am also really impressed with the monolithic shallow frost-protected slab. Really saves on concrete in contrast to a traditional footing/wall/fill&compact/slab combination. To compare, it cost me under 5K$CAN for the slab compared to 12-15K$ for a traditional foundation.

If anyone wants to go that route, please do not hesitate to pull my chain!
