Best way I've found to get the rivets out is to start with a small drill and drill it till you almost get through. What you want is to stop just a little past the backside of the frame. Keep working your way up with drill sizes, centering the drill as best you can till you get to the outside edge of the rivet. Then, with a hammer and big drift punch hammer it out. You have to remember that rivets can mushroom between ANY gap and they can be quite stubborn to get out. Drilling allows them to collapse to the inside. As John said go the next size bigger as a 3/8 rivet is stronger than a 3/8 bolt because you don't have the thread cut basically making it a smaller size. Kevin
