I need to get those thing tested first. I sure wish I felt good about taking it to the Dealer in town! I found another problem with the 98 "TSB 21-04-00" Reprograming the Power Train Control Module causing it to tempory enter its third gear "Limp in Mode"?? Not sure this has been corrected yet on the truck. Also anoter problem that the Trans Valve Body Machining process is different due to manufacture changes done in 1998 but not all were caught and fixed?? It causes a increase in Hydraulic Pressure. Needs to be scaned with a MDS2 or the DRBIII another Dodge Dealer thing to trust them on? They wanted $138.00 just to scan the truck befor and the time they scaned it for the check engine light they thought it was a spark plug or the Gas Cap Door! Neither solved the problem and the lights seems to goe off once in a while when I fill up or just because it wanted to. Has been off and on (on most of the time)for over a year now. Mark H.
