When you work alone, I super kill anything that is lifted. I perfer cribbing over Jack Stands.
I feel a great relief when cribbing is removed from whatever and everything is back to Stable 1. Out of the picture, never the less in place , is a floor jack under the rear cross member, sort of the last resort ha ha.
