The wire snap rings that hold the wrist pin in place had broken on a couple of pistons. They bounced around and etched the piston and scored the cylinder wall. I'm not sure if the wrist pin walked out and scored the wall too. I think it did. Supposedly the cause of this is over-revving the engine or sustained high speed running. The little weak wire snap rings don't like that.

I was wondering if anyone makes a more substantial snap ring that will fit.
