I must agree with you, It's pretty silly what has happened to the forum in the past few days. I think it's kind of funny to watch grown men get in pissing contests with each other as to who knows more about what, or what constitutes a "real power wagon"! I love that comment "... or worst case a W series truck." Such arrogance. Or the other about Mickey mouse or backyard mechanics. I really had to laugh at that because when I drove down to the Dodge dealership in a '68 W-200 to get front end parts, they laughed in my face and just said "discontinued, it's not cost effective to stock parts for something that old." Just what dealership you going to use all those discontinued part numbers at? I have kept quite a few rigs running by manufacturing parts and unsing a little ingenuity (sp?) to make it work. I do as a professional job as possible, and if it works I share it with the other readers of this page. I dont consider this Mickey Mouse. Our whole society today is geared for people to stop thinking for themselves. Which is why many of us enjoy these rigs so mutch. This page has helped me more than I ever could repay you Joe and I thank you so mutch for keeping it going. But I have to be honest, all the bickering is getting old. I have a w/c-12, a wc-52, a WDX, a '68 w-200, and a '67 d-100 so I'm not talking from one side or the other. I love all these trucks and to be honest driving that D-100 is a real hoot! The bottom line here is that were all Dodgers and you should show each other some respect. We have a lot of things to learn from each other and a lot in common so try to keep an open mind when someone shares a tecnique on how they made something work, instead of calling it backyard or shadetree. If you think it's BS than dont do it to your rig. If you have a correction to make dont be a condesending jerk about it. I know what your saying to yourself so before someone else says it I will, and leave this post with a smile as always. "CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!"
