I apoligize. This is my first Dodge and my experience with auto trans. is very limited. I was under the impression that Dexron was the standard for one of those other car companies. What is the proper transmission fluid for a 79 Dodge, Mopar Type 7176, Dexron, something else? If the answer is Dexron, then my assumption has no basis. Otherwise, can somebody check their dipstick?
