I am mounting a WM300 body on a 77 W300 and I also
own a W500 so I have some idea of what you will
run into.
I think it would be easier than what I am doing because
(unless my eyes deceive me) the engine is mounted
lower in the frame. On the other hand, you will have
fun figuring out where to put the running boards.
The body from the military 1/2 ton seems to be better for mounting
on more modern frames because of the shape of the apron
below the doors and the position of the running boards.
A 12 foot pickup bed would be interesting, eh?
