I finally got a chance to shove my exhaust pipe back into the y-pipe on my W300. A tree limb came up and tweaked it on the trail ride. I thought I heard a slight noise but didn't pay much attention to it.
George and Ben were great hosts, plenty of dogs and burgers, great weather. And best of all, all the PW's and M-37's that showed up. A record number, so I hear. It was fun just watching them all trying to park in George's yard!
George played trail leader around his corn lots and pumpkin patch,(bridge foundations), keeping in mind most of these guys weren't too eager to run in bumper deep mud or scrape most of the paint off thier fresh paint jobs. A knoll out in the middle of a corn lot provided a good spot for the "Family Portrait". Geez,my truck looked a little out of place parked with all them flat-fenders!
George is such a nice guy, he even offered me a ride home, just in case I wanted to donate my truck to him. I wasn't feeling quite that generous and passed on his offer. Headed for home just before dark, got about a mile up the road and the exhaust pipe slipped out. RATS! I listened to that 318 howl all the way home.
Can't wait till next time, guys! How about a hill climb sometime in the spring? I'm game!
