...chopped the cab area up on and put a closed cab on it. The cab is wrong. It is a Dodge circa 1934-36. The windshield is one piece and the rear window is much larger than than a 41.

Since many command cars are missing the REAR part, this would seem to be a good one to have to use for parts. But, notice that the sides only are still on the rear. The insides have been gutted. So unless you only needed the rear sides, it sure is not going to do a command car restorer a lot of good.

On the other hand, the frame and front end and engine compartment are intact. It could be used as a frame for a stripped comman car provided you have a body, or for any other 116" wheelbase 41 WC. (Ambulances are 123"). The cab would be good trading stock for someone restoring an earlier Dodge 2x4 pickup, circa the mid-1930's.

At $2500, in my opinion, it is priced to high, even though it runs. You'd need at least a cab and bed to restore it, plus the proper frame cab mounting points. You may have to dig up another frame to do that. In my opinion, $1000 - $1500, IF IT RUNS GOOD AND BURNS NO OIL is more like it.

I'm not running it down, but I thought I'd point out the problems before a newbie runs off and buys it for hard earned cash and then discovers what they got into.

I'd like to know more about the steam locomotive.
