Using stainless lines on an old MV like a Dodge can be a problem, not because of the lines themselves, but some of the old 'T' pieces, reducers, pipe ends and the like are noticeably softer than the hard stainless, so you put the extra 1/8 turn on it and it strips.

I always use the softer CuNiFer (Copper/Nickel/Iron) tubing. as it seems to match the hardness of the original fittings better and is just as rust resistant. Should be just as available under whatever trade name, and is slightly easier to form because of the hardness difference.
