Having survived 12 days without power during the last Ice Storm..... in the middle of Winter and in a rural setting....
......we are now better prepared.....generator, extra gas, diesel fuel, lamp oil, extra propane for the BBQ.....lots of fire wood... and stocked up freezer and canned goods.
From bad experience we have now sorted all the campng equipment in one central location and tested the equipment.... now I can find it in the dark.

Extra cash for emergencies.... and extra beer and wine.

Now if all the townies try to migrate the local boys intend to water down and ice up the 3 bridges into the community..... haha

Somehow being prepared takes all the stress out of it..... and we would rather welcome a few dark days home.... after all we have eaten over the Holidays fire wood chores, reading by the firestove and early to bed would not be so bad....

All the BEST to all the Forum PW people....... may January 1st be something we will laugh about in the weeks to come.

Thanks Joe for all the hours of pleasure that your site provides us frozen Canucks during the long cold Winter.
