I have about 20 gallons of MIL-L-2105E 85W140 gear oil on hand, so I'm using it in pretty much everything. I just filled the rear axle and the transmission of my 67 chevy pickup with it, so we'll see how it does. I think it's a bit on the heavy side for this application, but that's part of the experiment. I've been using it in the M35s and the dozer for a couple years, but I did lose one M35 transmission, so maybe that was why. I topped off the M37 gearboxes with it, but at the slow speeds and light loads it gets, I imagine anything resembling oil would be fine.
