guess thats why a real "GIN POLE" is the one
lashed (secured)to a tower to make lifts where the height or terain did not allow for the use of a crain and a "Pole truck" is used to move the Pole from tower site to tower site
but that was the old days for power line tower construction today set the site haul
the compete tower in with an Erickson Air Crane & its a done deal
gin poles are still used on Com tower work
