There are still lots of great kids out there. One of the Scouts in my troop has always impressed me. I first got to know him at 11 when he joined the Troop. Unlike most 11 year olds, he would carry on a conversation with you, while looking at your face instead of his shoes. He was always eager to help, a born leader with the other Scouts. He graduated high school this last june. He completed all of the requirements for Eagle, with the exception of his Eagle Board of Review which is scheduled for the saturday after Thanksgiving. He is now a Cadet at West Point. I will be taking him to the Eagle Board and will present him with pride. Quite a guy, he has grown into a real adult and is just over 18.
