Left and right per Braden is relationship to input shaft rotation vs drum rotation, thus if you have the stock PTO on the PW when placing the control lever in the forward or 'wind' position, the winch when equipped with "R" gearset will pull cable in on the bottom (or drum will turn CCW looking from gearbox end) If the winch is equipped with 'L' Gearset the drum will wind cable to the top or rotate CW. All braden MU, MU2, LU, LU2, ALU, ALU2 and LU-4 winches use a 29:1 gear ratio no matter if they are left or right handed. If yours turns faster, your PTO has been modified as the PW Pto on the ransmission is geared the same in either direction.
