I use mozilla/foxfire and have been very happy with it. It is just a different browser, similar to netscape, I guess. According to my computer guru... Internet Explorer has some on going issues I will have problems with if I use it all the time. I have IE on my machine and my kids were using it because it was what they were familiar with. I had forgotten about a problem with IE and .tmp files. My relatively new 80g hard drive was running a little slow which got my attention. I got a XP for dummies book and looked at manual deletion of .tmp files. I did a search and found that I had 15,000 temp files stored in a place that the regular scan disc wouldn't find. It also didn't go away with the "tools, internet options, and deleting stuff from here and there screen. May be worth looking at for some of you. Some temp files may be necessary to run things but it wouldn't let me delete anything it considered necesssary to operate the system. .tmp files was a problem for sure on my machine. I deleted the IE shortcut and make the kids use Mozilla...... no problems since.
