The local County DMV is just the opposite here in Uinta County, Wyoming. I bought a WC-51 in Montana without a title, so I went through Broadway Title to get the necessary paperwork. When I took this to the DMV, they flat out refused to consider any of the documentation. I then went back to Broadway Title, who willingly worked with me on this. Broadway Title provided a nice letter stating the legal procedure for titling this truck, which I then took to the DMV. Still a bunch of brick walls staring at me. I was told "You have to have a title to get a title." They wouldn't look up the laws of other states and how they mesh with the laws of Wyoming - guess who isn't getting my vote come next election day? Broadway Title stated that they have successfully gotten titles in several other counties in Wyoming with no problems, so the local county DMV is obviously not following the state's rules for Wyoming. Because of this, I sold the WC-51 to Mac from Texas, who seems to be very happy with that very nice, unmolested truck.
