State Farm issued CLEAR NEW titles to the vehicles! The case against them was for not issuing 'SALVAGE' titles! Thus falsely representing the vehicle to the consumer!!
I don't understand how an insurance company even has access to issue ANY title! Apparently, what they would do was obtain the 'totaled' vehicle, then it went to a repair shop (under a divisoion owned by Stat Farm) and was repaired then that firm was the issuiong agent on the titles! The only state not in th suit was Alaska I believe. This is basically what car theives and 'chop shops' have been doing illegally for years!
