I had some stuff to take over to the other side of the creek at my cabin and other stuff to bring back, so I drove the M37 over the hill and across the creek for the first time today. 4 miles from 2800' to 3500', then 2 miles from 3500' to 4700', then down 4 miles to 3200'. Had to open the windshield so I didn't get smoked out by the fumes from the road-draft tube. It's got more than a little blowby, which isn't surprising seeing as how it came with no air cleaner and only has 90 lbs compression. Brakes still keep tightening themselves up even though I have 2-3" slop in the brake pedal, so I had to stop and relieve the pressure now and then. Other than that it did real good for a truck that probably hasn't done real work for 30 years! The dog kept looking at the transmission, wondering what all the noises were, but the noises didn't get any worse.

This picture is crossing Slate Creek on my place, which is pretty tame this time of year. Corvus creek is nearly dry, but the approach is real steep and a bit slick so I was glad to see the M37 pulled the trailer up it just fine.
