If you have a 97' then you have a Bosch 7100 Injector pump. There is no Throttle Position Sensor nor computer issues as it is totally mechanical and actually a very good pump. One of the bomb ticks is to throw a 7100 on a 24 valve. Anyway if you go to the outside of the pump and down by the linkage, you will find a set screw that will allow you to adjust your idle. That is all there is to it. This is actually a common issue and not really a problem per se' as the constant throttle movement causes the screw to wear a tiny amount. Set the idle at 800 rpm and you should be good to go.
