Hey all,

Not sure if this is an item in any flat fender power wagon or wc parts manual, but years ago I remember having a fh dodge 6 cyl with a donut gasket that sat on top of the carb and when you put the oil bath air cleaner on and tightened it down it provided a tight seal. It was a donut type hard rubber continuous ring. On my current WM300 fire truck with the original type carb and original oil bath air cleaner, even when I tighten the wing handled knob all the way on the air cleaner, it tightens around the carb where the air cleaner stays on, but you can turn the air cleaner around, like spinning it. It is not snug. I talked to a guy at VPW today and he was not familiar with such a gasket, nor is it in their most recent catalog. Anybody have any ideas ?
Thanks, Bob Stopka
