Fire pager activated at 0330 hrs.
Last week's heavy rain got into the electrical mast of a house and seeped down into the circuit breaker panel. It took a WEEK for something nasty to happen, resulting in a basement fire this a.m.
One more thing for all you guys to be aware of in the exciting world of home ownership. After a rain storm, check your panel for water.
Thirty firefighters, six ambulance squad members, four ferry crew, and two lighting company guys were all extracted from their cozy beds. It's hard to get back to sleep at my age, so you get to read the drivel.
(Yawn.)
Dodge content: The lighting company used to have Power Wagons. School bus yellow/black, with winches. They made a lasting impression on me as a kid.
They have never gotten rid of them. There are sixty or so of them lined up in a big building, waiting for who-knows-what. They won't sell them singly, but they said they'd sell the whole lot.
Just kidding.
