I believe they would fit. Richard posted below that Ray of Helitool said there was a difference in geometry. I am guessing Ray was referring to how the caliper mounted, not anything to do with spindle, hub, drum. As an aside, the front hub and drum assembly [because of the hub] from a single wheel truck will be different from a dual wheel truck.

I have heard of people making 6-stud axles into 8-stud units by switching hubs, drums, and lockouts, if available. You would use the same spindles, as I recall.

Another interesting thing is that you can fit the Jeep 5/4 front hubs and drum, and brake mechanism [including baking plate] to the Dana 70. You get a better brake that has more lining surface area. Also, you get some drum availability again. The Jeep has a Dana 60 housing with Dana 70 wheel end parts, that as per a Dana engineer I talked to on the phone quite a few years ago.

If you have an 8-stud arrangement, it really opens up possibilities with regard to wheels, so I understand your interest.
