Taffy has been getting weaker and weaker... she still has an appetite for human food, but she is having trouble getting up and down stairs. I knew I couldn't get the truck done, so I went to "Plan B" and just got it assembled enough for a ride around the block. No rear bed, no seat cushions, no inner fender wells, no glass in the windshield. The hand brake worked, but no regular brakes. The only gauge I had hooked up was the oil pressure, and the only electrical was a hot wired ignition... but my dog was going to get that ride!

I've worked many late evenings and every weekend. I worked on it straight through the night last Saturday, finally hitting the wall about 6:15am and sleeping for four hours before going back at it. I've got lots of photos to share, but not tonight guys. I'm just going to relax/sleep.

The ride was a success. The truck ran well, although it is burning a little oil, and leaking a little antifreeze from my gasket-less (just used the sealant "gasket maker" stuff) water pump installation. After a successful maiden voyage with Taffy, the kids squeezed into the cab with us and we did it again. Good memories.

Thanks everyone for support and encouragement.
