Norm, unlike all the other tracked snow vehicles (thiokol, bombardier, M29 weasel), Tuckers have a "wagon steer" arrangement in which the entire rigid axle assembly pivots. The linkage is set up so that if you want to turn left, the front axle pivots to the left and the rear axle pivots to the right. There's a vickers hydraulic cylinder that does the work. Steering is via a normal steering wheel rather than track clutches.

The good thing about this system is that it maintains full power to the tracks when turning, unlike a skid-steer where you lose half your traction when making a tight turn. The bad thing about it is it doesn't have a very tight turning radius, which makes it pretty well impossible to turn around on a 1-lane mountain road.
