Gordon,
The engine stops, and then one loud bang in the exhaust system, just like a gunshot. Engine is a rebuild with a NOS carb and only 200 miles on it. Engine temperature is in the high 150s according to the gauge. I still have the manifold flap in the "Summer" position, though the weather is getting cooler lately. I have not had a tachometer on it, so I have no idea of rpms. Engine has never been timed with a light or the radio method. I did turn up the idle speed awhile back to prevent stalling. Sounds as if I should have adjusted the throttle instead. Obviously, I am a novice when it comes to engine performance and electrical systems. Any advice is appreciated.
