I certainly didn't mean to say that he should stop dealing with his disaster to send me my gages. I just wondered if anybody here happened to know him or know the place where he lives. I've probably never been within 1000 miles of Louisiana so I don't even know where Lake Charles is, but I was concerned that he might have got hit by the hurricane. From what you tell me, he very well could be in a big world of hurt from it. Once I started trying to call him and nobody answered the phone I got more worried, picturing blown-over telephone poles and wrecked houses. Like I said I'd emailed him a few times and he seemed like a good guy, and for all I know he could be laying in a hospital or dead now. I should probably think "he's just some guy on ebay", and not be concerned about if he got hurt or got his stuff wrecked by the hurricane, but that's not how I am.
